Study: America Hit By Roughly 550 Violent Demonstrations In Three Months

Imagen
What does the phrase ‘mostly peaceful’ even mean? When it comes to riots, not much, but Democrats won’t buy it. The riots have been going on for three months now. There have been a total of 7,750 protests. 93% of them have been peaceful but that means 543 were violent. 93% sounds good, I guess, but what about the number 543? Look at it another way. A man has 100 heart attacks, only one was fatal. How does that sound? The heart attacks were mostly non-fatal. That’s great news, right? But one of them was fatal. That’s how I feel when I hear Democrats say “mostly peaceful.”

Afghanistan Peace Talks Open in Qatar, Seeking End to Decades of War

Imagen
DOHA, Qatar — The Taliban and the Afghan government began historic peace talks in Qatar on Saturday, aimed at shaping a power-sharing government that would end decades of war that have consumed Afghanistan and left millions dead and displaced. If realized, a peace deal would be the first time in generations that a new form of Afghan government was not being established at the point of a gun: The current model was ushered in by the American invasion that  toppled the Taliban’s harsh Islamic regime  in 2001, and each previous one back to  the 1979 Soviet invasion  was set off by coup, collapse or conquest. But as the Qatar talks begin, against the backdrop of  an American troop pullout  and  grievous violence against Afghan officials and civilians , some critics of the process argued that the Taliban insurgency was still, in essence, holding a gun to the government’s head.

Illegal actions are clearing the way for mining near the BWCA

According to a recently amended lawsuit, two congressional representatives, Pete Stauber and Tom Emmer from Minnesota exerted undue pressure on the U.S. Forest Service, resulting in the agency failing to fulfill its statutory responsibility to protect the Boundary Waters, and clearing the way for a controversial copper-sulfide mining project near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The legal challenges centers around two expired mineral leases held by the Chilean-owned mining company Twin Metals, that were revived and renewed by the Trump administration. The lawsuit argues that renewing these leases was arbitrary, capricious and illegal. As described in the amended complaint, staff for Congressmen Pete Stauber (R-MN 08) and Tom Emmer (R-MN 06), both outspoken allies of Twin Metals, lobbied the Forest Service to withhold any concerns or stipulations that might make it more difficult for Twin Metals to move forward with opening its mine. The pressure Congressmen Stauber and Emmer ...

CDC Expects Community Spread of Coronavirus in U.S., Warns Disruptions Could be “Severe”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday warned that it expects the novel coronavirus that has  sparked outbreaks around the world  to begin spreading at a community level in the United States, as a top official said that disruptions to daily life could be “severe.” “As we’ve seen from recent countries with community spread, when it has hit those countries, it has moved quite rapidly. We want to make sure the American public is prepared,” Nancy Messonnier, director of CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, told reporters. “As more and more countries experience community spread, successful containment at our borders becomes harder and harder,” she said.

Kamala Harris: 'We do have two systems of justice in America'

Washington (CNN) Democratic vice presidential nominee  Kamala Harris  said that  President Donald Trump's  word alone on any potential coronavirus vaccine is not enough. Asked by CNN's Dana Bash in a clip released Saturday whether she would get a vaccine that was approved and distributed before the election, Harris replied, "Well, I think that's going to be an issue for all of us." "I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about," she continued in the clip from an exclusive interview airing Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" at 9 a.m. ET. "I will not take his word for it." CNN reported Thursday  that Trump has pressured administration health officials to accelerate the vaccine's development in an effort to convince voters of an impending end to the pandemic threatening his reelection...

LeBron James Wears A Colin Kaepernick Jersey To His Saturday Game

LeBron James showed up to his Saturday night game wearing a Colin Kaepernick jersey. Prior to the Los Angeles Lakers playing the Houston Rockets, the three-time NBA champion showed up wearing a black Kaepernick jersey.  (RELATED:  David Hookstead Is The True  King  In The  North  When It Comes To College Football) The Lakers tweeted a video of James arriving and captioned it, “More Than a Jersey.” This right here is why the NBA is falling apart. Nobody wants to see this garbage. Stop making sports political! At the very least, don’t prop up Kaepernick as some kind of hero. He’s most certainly not a hero, and it’s time to stop the charade. wore  pig   socks , compared cops to  slave catchers , claimed they can murder people with impunity and get  paid  leave and praised  Fidel Castro .
